SOCALLT

SOCALLT, South Central Association for Language Learning Technology, is a professional organization focused on language pedagogy, methodology, and research-based practices to meet the goals of technology-enhanced teaching and language learning. We invite faculty, staff, and students to join this friendly organization to broaden our views on our profession as we pursue excellence.

SOCALLT is a regional group of IALLT, the International Association for Language Learning Technology. Our region includes Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. 

MISSION
The goals of the organization are to:

  • Disseminate information about Language Learning Technology.
  • Share experiences on the development and implementation of Language Learning Technology.
  • Provide information on resources available for those involved in Language Learning Technology.
  • Be a bridge to IALLT, the International Association for Language Learning Technology, our national organization.

RECENT NEWS:

  • 70 participants attended SOCALLT Conference 2026, which took place on April 17-18 at Baylor University – https://sites.baylor.edu/socallt2026/ .
  • Eleonora Boscolo Suteu, Lecturer in Italian at Baylor University, has been elected as the president-elect.
