Roundtable on Language Placement and Credentialing
Panelists will discuss successes and lessons learned in placement exams and credentialing at their institution, including: Cori Anderson (Rutgers University) will showcase the placement test that she has developed for her Russian program and the principles behind it. Hope Fitzgerald (UVA A&S Learning Design & Technology) will discuss recent shifts in student placement processes in multiple world language programs, including the use of in-house and commercial testing options. Claire Frances (University of Iowa) will talk about lessons learned from a pilot project with the Global Seal of Biliteracy.
