Title: Inclusive Language Learning for Visually Impaired Learners: Lessons from Design-Based Research
Description: This webinar explores how Design-Based Research (DBR) can be used to create accessible and inclusive technology-enhanced language learning environments. Through two projects developed in Colombia—an educational serious game and a mobile app for English language learning—presenters will demonstrate how iterative design, collaboration with stakeholders, and universal design principles can improve both accessibility and learning outcomes for visually impaired learners. Together, the presentations highlight the potential of DBR to support equitable, engaging, and contextually meaningful language education.
