MAALLT is the Mid-Atlantic Association for Language Learning Technology. MAALLT, like its affiliate organization IALLT, is a professional not-for-profit membership organization working toward the goal of improving language instruction through the use of technology.
We are a dynamic and growing group with members associated with a wide variety of institutions of higher learning in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Everyone interested in the use of technology in the learning of languages and cultures is welcome to participate in MAALLT activities, but the MAALLT region includes: Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

Whether you’re nominating yourself or a talented colleague, we’re looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about advancing language education through innovative technology integration. Board members help guide our strategic direction, organize professional development events, and foster connections within our vibrant community.

Open positions include leadership roles that shape programming, partnerships, and community outreach. No prior board experience required – just passion for language learning technology!
Starting November 6, we will reach out to nominees to confirm their interest and to solicit candidate statements for the election period. To nominate someone, or to self-nominate, simply send an email to maallt.org@gmail.com with the subject: nomination and in the body of the email state the name(s) of the nominee(s), their contact information, and the position for which you are nominating each. (Please do not nominate an individual for more than one position.) You may direct any questions to the same email address, and we will respond promptly.
