Opening the Toolbox: Creating & Customizing AI Chatbots for Language Learning

This webinar will show how instructors and students can use retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to design and build custom AI-powered chatbots for language learning. No coding experience is necessary! Participants will learn about different tools and techniques for creating chatbots that support their students’ language learning goals. We will discuss important considerations for designing chatbots such as scope, complexity, and proficiency levels. Examples from two recent internship projects as well as our own explorations will be demonstrated to illustrate these key considerations.
